Thanksgiving Outreach 2021

We need lots of volunteers to help us deliver to over 2,500 Treasure Coast families this year. Our Thanksgiving menu includes: a frozen turkey, or a frozen chicken, fresh carrots, fresh potatoes, canned vegetables, stuffing, gravy, cornbread mix and boxed desserts.

The meal bags will be delivered directly to families’ homes. We do not require families to sign vouchers, wait in line or carry a food box. We ask each family to enjoy a family meal in their homes, using their recipes with the food ingredients included in the delivered meal bags. We always include table-talk questions to get the table conversation started. We also include mealtime prayers for the families so they can begin to pray together.

Tri-County Feed in Fort Pierce is donating dog and cat food to families this year. The entire family will be fed.

As always, we need lots of help! Volunteer opportunities are available beginning Thursday, November 18 at 1:00pm, Friday, November 19 at 1:00pm setting up the room, and unloading the food trucks AND on Saturday, November 20 starting at 7:30 AM. We need meal bag packers, clean up helpers, and lots of help in many ways! We deliver, sort and pack out of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Pierce.

We have, (of course), changed the way we set up and distribute this year. There will be limited amount of volunteers inside, many more volunteers are needed outside.
